What device, system, browser are you using ? I just checked and no issues with Firefox browser and using the mission planner within the mobile app. Either way the search bar is there.
did you ever resolve this... I am having the same issue

I am using Android phone/mini 3 pro for mission planning on phone and it does not appear.
