How to use: "Allow component to start after motion finished"

Daniel Snyder

Wondering how to interpret this Waypoint setting, "Allow component to start after motion finished". Setting this on each waypoint does not seem to matter to speed or flight duration.  Also after some hunting, I can't find any documentation.  It looks useful.

If you have a waypoint or path action near the end of a waypoint mission, and the number of components added to that element means that it will take those components longer to execute than there is time left flying the path, this will allow the drone to hover at the end while still executing the remaining components (before moving on to the next motion component if there is one, or ending the mission).

The simplest example I can give is if you are capturing a photo at each waypoint while moving, (not a full stop photo) when you get to the end of the missions path which will be the last waypoint, the photo will be triggered before the mission ends. Otherwise the mission would end before the photo capture was triggered. Another year older this moth so hopefully my old fart brain is still functioning well enough. Try to Enjoy life everyone, you only get one and no do-overs. Lol…
