All default speeds for On-the-fly replay should be reduced to 3 mph

Dès que possible, merci de modifier les fonctions on-the-fly existantes pour que les vitesses par défaut qui sont excessives, soient ramenées à 3 mph (5km/h).

Par exemple pour On The Fly Waypoints à

serait à modifier par

    If you choose advanced options during the setup, it asks you what speed you want to fly.

    La vitesse de déplacement vers le point de départ ou le point de retour ne peut malheureusement pas être corrigée par les options avancées des On The Fly.

    Du coup, cela oblige à passer par Dronelink Web et à disposer d'un réseau pour corriger cette vitesse de 20 mph qui est trop importante.

    Fair enough. For now you either need to fly to the first waypoint manually, or edit the mission after it has been generated and lower the speed.

    afin de suggérer aux pilotes :

    - d'utiliser systématiquement les options avancés pour abaisser la vitesse entre les points qui est, par défaut, de 10 mph (16,5 km/h).

    - de surveiller le drone lors de l'arrivée à son dernier point, car s'il déclenche un RTH la vitesse peut monter jusqu'à 20 mph (32 km/h)

    Par la méconnaissance de ce dernier point, un DJI mini 3 est allé se briser les pâles dans le feuillage d'un arbre lorsqu'il allait rejoindre le début d'une deuxième mission qui avait été réalisée la veille…

    Due to ignorance of this last point, a DJI mini 3 broke its blades in the foliage of a tree when it was about to join the start of a second mission which had been carried out the day before...

    You should check the RTH height is high enough to clear surrounding obstacles  before you launch the drone on its flight

    Yeah I wasn’t sure if I understood the RTH remark due to translation. The drone will always ascend up before returning so sounds like the RTH altitude was set to low and needs to be set much higher. Even if the default speed was much slower or you set the paths speed to 3 mph the return would still be at that 20 mph as that is controlled by the drones firmware. As far as the waypoints (path), the drone will fly the path to each waypoint at the altitude you set during the setup process. So of its crashing into something going to the next waypoint then it must have been set up way too close during the initial set up process as it will fly the mission as you set it up. As always the pilot needs to know how to pause the mission at any time and take control. Just to be clear because too many pilots take things the wrong way, I’m not trying to be rude or condescending at all just trying to understand why you’re having issues setting it up to work as needed. Maybe a better understanding of how it works, how to utilize the apps functions and some more experience will help. Enjoy.

    Le drone n'était pas en RTH

    Le drone venait de finir cette mission et était en stationnaire au point R

    Lorsqu'il a été demandé de rejouer la deuxième mission ci-dessous à laquelle je n'avais pas eu le temps d'éditer les vitesses dans Dronelink web …

    … le drone est allé heurté à 20mph les branches de l'arbre situé entre le point R de la première mission et le point A de cette deuxième mission.

    Si la vitesse de déplacement vers ce point A avait été de 3mph (5km/h), j'aurais pu arrêter le drone qui se déplaçait au début de cette deuxième mission.

    Ok it must be the translation as you mentioned the RTH at 20 mph. As far as the issue you have, Jim already stated to just fly it manually to another starting point. I don’t want a 3 mph default speed and I think 99% of pilots won’t want that slow of a speed as well. Set it up so you don’t need to take chances especially when flying at a very low altitude as you are. Whether you start any mission from the ground or still in the air you need to make sure the path is clear. Changing the default speed to 3 mph is not the way to utilize the DL app in my opinion.     In order to fly carefully, why should Dronelink only be used in manual mode?

    Because then the pilot has full control of the aircraft, I mean can you imagine a Boeing 707 pilot, turning the autopilot on at 100 feet while flying over a town, also its the pilots responsibility to check for obstacles etc before they fly.

    If i remember correctly (I very rarely use on the fly functions) a question that is asked when setting up any on the fly function is:

    "Do you know how to take control in case of an emergency?"

    Puisque le vol serait en manuel, cela tendrait à penser que DJI Fly serait suffisant.

    Since the flight would be in manual, this would tend to think that DJI Fly would be enough.

    DJI Fly with a DJI Mavic 4 Pro, has a waypoints app that seems to accommodate obstacles:

    This will be all the more true with the DJI Mini 5 Pro which is scheduled for the end of this year:

    Just remember that until dji puts the mini 4 on an SDK there is nothing that Dronelink or any of the other 3rd party software providers can do, as for mini 5 there can't be a lot else they can do with the mini range, I mean they've just launched the mini 4K so as to use up spare from the mini 2 and mini 2SE,I've briefly flown a 3, and I still think the mini 2 is the king of the mini range when looking at bang for the buck

    Pour information, la vitesse où le temps de vol est maximum est de 6 m/s (13 mph ou 22 km/h).
