M2EA 360 Photos

A Stevens
Hi, had my M2EA since Feb2024. Haven't really been using it yet other then a few rest flights to familiarize myself with the features. Spotlight seems to always say "overheating" even when it's on low and on for about a minute.(No big deal, don't plan on using the spotlight anyway) However , it was a learning curve to figure out most options/features. Not being able to set "visible camera" setting is a bit of a bummer.(Oh well). Lol My question is. Is there a way to link to an android in order to extract pics and vids? I have tried the panorama 360 pics and they turn out well when viewing them from the drone via the smart controller. However, once I transfer the 360 photos to the smart RC, they don't come out in a 360 format..Which means I can't upload the pics a a 360 photo. Anyone know the process of extracting them in 360 format? Thanks in advance! (Lame pun intended) ;p

Did you use dronelink or Dji App to fly the m2ea in the conditions you describe ?
From dronelink perspective, it is admitted that the Dji smart controller is limited due to low performances (cf. Dronelink guidelines).

Not sure I understand the question. You can pull it from the SD and transfer to a PC or device just as always. DL does not process any photos, it just captures the images. You will need to process them. May need a bit more info.

Thanks for the responses. Im using DJI Pilot on the Smart Controller. This is quite the different set up then my Mini Drones and the Fly app. So I apologize for my ignorance. I have watched many YouTube Videos but there doesn't seem to be much reviews or how to vids that cover the meat and potatoes of the M2EA. I think the M3T was introduced to the line up before the M2EA had a chance to take a firm hold after the flopped M2E-Dual,(my personal opinion of course)

Anyway.. My question is, is it possible to link the Aircraft to my cell phone(Android) in order to upload the 360 images straight to FaceBook for instance? My reasoning is that FB does upload 360 pics. I can only view the 360 images if Im viewing them from the drone. If I upload the 360 pics to my Smart Controller, then the pics are only viewable as a panorama pic. I did see that a comment was made to pull the SD card from the drone and use a PC to try retrieving the image as a 360 pic. I have thought of that as well. I haven't tried that yet because I was hoping not to have to pull the SD card from the drone every time I want to get the photos and or vids. I will be shopping for a laptop that uses windows as well. Currently I have a Chrome Book which is not compatible with DJI downloads. My Android Phone is able to download the DJI Pilot app. I can open the DJI Pilot app on my cell, but I cant figure out how to link the aircraft to the Pilot app on my cell. If I could, then I should be able to upload the 360 pics straight to social media. Hopefully that clears up what I was attempting to ask. Maybe clear as mud now?! lol Its actually not a huge issue though. More of a "trying to learn" situation. Thanks again. :)

It’s ok to ask here but Probably best to ask on the DJI Forum as this is for DL help. I’m sure there are many which can help with that configuration if it is even possible to upload right to Facebook. I only use iPads with my drones and it’s very easy to download right from the DJI app to my device. It is probably different with an Android OS device and especially with that very old SC. Sounds like you want to view 360° sphere. For viewing I use Google Photos app on my iPad which views them. If you don’t want to remove the SD card then you may be limited on what you can do with the set up you have. Sorry I can’t help more.
