What the difference between the various Photo types

Joey Perry
Looking for what each of the “Photo types” do. Is there a link to a description of each? I can’t find anything that really tells you what each does.

Strange that it says this thread was posted 6 days ago and I haven’t seen this until now. Anyway, There is no list because the app works for every supported drone and not all drones support every one. The only ones which will work are the ones which the drones firmware supports. I’d check the DJI spec sheet for your drone to see which ones your drone supports. I can tell you I went through all of them with my MA2 and and half of them won’t work. Most common which most drones support are single, Interval and AEB.

You can test any camera commands by creating a blank new plan with no motion components meaning No Path, Orbit, Map, Checkpoint, Rotation etc. The only thing you should have is the purple reference pin. Then add any camera commands you wish to test to see if they work. Then connect the drone and controller as usual and open DL app. Load that empty plan and click start. If there is an issue with a particular command it will indicate what it is. You can remove the props just to be safe if you’re concerned about it starting the motors but as long as it only has the purple reference pin you should have no issues. Hope that helps.

My drone (M3e) supports RAW format.   BUT this yields an error when I try that Photo Type setting (within the Pano Component).   An article or list of what each does would be helpful.   Some Photo Types seem to be incompatible with certain mission Components.  But there seems to be no documentation.
