No possibility to change exposure mode to manual for Mini 3

Damian Grocholski

I see that there is no option to change exposure mode from auto to manual - there is only auto mode to chose. I can change only exposure compensation, and no other photo/video parameters (shutter, iso) in auto mode.

The camera icon in the bottom right corner should have most of that. Auto exposure usually controls all of the exposure so there is no way to change the ISO or Shutter, just the EV value. You should see a manual or auto exposure on the bottom section where it is. Then it will have a drop down list where you can select either one. If your not seeing any of this then take a screenshot once connected to the drone so DL staff can take a look. I always set my plans up with a camera component list to set the camera automatically so I don’t need to spend time changing anything. Very easy to add my camera list from my Repo into any plan in two clicks and they are completely reusable. Just a thought.

There's no manual option available... When I tap on EM icon I can see anly auto, like on screenshot bellow:

This issue refers to all modes - photo and video... Maybe Mini 3 support comes too early out from beta ;)

Ok. DL will need to look at this as it should give you both Auto and Manual. Since I don’t use Android OS devices or the Dronelink DJI app version I can’t check. The only thing I can suggest is delete the app and reinstall and see if it’s available.

I've tried to reinstall app, downloading once more fresh version - did not help - no manual exposure mode available :)

OK, I know this isn't really the answer, but it might help for now, try inserting a camera exposure mode command in at the start of a mission, set the command to manual and then see if you've got access to the manual settings, in fact you could actually just create a blank plan (no components) and add the command to that, then just run the mission and it looks put it in manual mode

And you can go into the DJI Fly app and set to manual exposure first since all settings stick across apps. As Martin stated you can add a command to set it, or I use a component list to set all my camera settings on 99% of my plans. It’s not a fix if it is a DL app bug but at least you can set it up the way you want.

In Basic plan I can't use exposure mode command...

Yes, this worked - changed to manual in DJI Fly, and then in DL it was in manual mode, and I was able to change exposure time, ISO (but when I tap on EM icon - still only Auto was avilable).

This is some workaround, as I am starting always from DJI Fly app - there if I set max height to 500m and start the drone, then 500m will be still valid in other apps (and DL also)..

Looks like the DJI SDK is not reporting manual as a possible value (even though it is). Will add it to the list.

You can’t use any function which is not supported by the drones firmware. So it’s the same with the DJI Fly app when in manual exposure where you can not change the EV value. As far as I know none of the Mavic series’s drones has ability to change the EV value in Manual exposure, only Auto and that’s always been with all three of my DJI drones no matter which model.

I am starting always from DJI Fly app - there if I set max height to 500m and start the drone, then 500m will be still valid in other apps (and DL also). Yes, all settings stick across apps so what is set in the drones firmware will be the same in DL because it’s the aircraft which stores the settings, not either app.

    Hello
At the beginning, it was possible for me to use manual mode.
But as soon as I choose the automatic mode, impossible to go back to the manual mode.
Like Damian in his screenshot, now only « Auto » is possible for exposure mode. Before, auto and manual was possible to choose
