DJI Smart Controller Dronelink update 4.9.0 from 4.7.0
I have a DJI Smart Controller RM500 running Android 7.1.2. I installed Dronelink for a DJI Mavic 2 Pro on this controller several years ago and have not used it for a long time. Today when I opened the Dronelink App 4.7.0 on my Smart Controller I get a message that it needs to be updated to 4.9.0. When I select the APK download link it takes me to a Dronelink Support webpage. On this support webpage I can see a links for 64bit or 32bit downloads.
There isn’t any detailed step by step information on how to do this update. How do I perform the update and do I use the 64bit or 32bit APK? Do I download the APK directly to the Smart Controller or to my desktop and transfer it to a memory card to get it into the Smart Controller?
HELP?

Hi Gary. Did you install from the link I’m supplying which is specifically for that Smart Controller. That controller is way outdated as explained in the link so it may be time to upgrade to a modern device. Others have reported problems when using it and DJI has completely abandon any firmware updates or support quite awhile ago. A very old Android version as well. Also as explained in the link it is a very low performance device so you will more than likely not have a good user experience. I’m sure it’s frustrating but not much DL can do. Hope you get it figured out and then go from there. Good luck.

Mike-thanks for the quick reply. I was starting to suspect that maybe it was time to start looking for a newer drone and controller.
The M2P is still a great drone and more than capable using DL so no need to upgrade that unless you want to. Just need a device which wasn’t built during the Bronze Age. Lol……
