Possible to revert to an earlier version on iPhone?
Is it possible to revert to an earlier version on my iPhone XR? The current version is on my iPhone and I am getting the 'Low Performance Device' message. Dronelink does work on it but the camera feed sometimes doesn't show up or is glitchy when it does. I expected this. I used to use this phone with prior versions of Dronelink all the time without any problems.
I use this phone with my old Phantom 3 Standard and upgrading or using another newer phone is not an option (I don't have one). I have newer drones and I run the current version of Dronelink on my RC Pro with my Mini 3 Pro but I would really like to use a compatible version on my iPhone XR with my P3S.
I also have a low end Lenovo Tab M8 tablet which is also a Low Performance device. If it's possible to get a compatible older version of Dronelink to work on Android I'd go that route instead.
Thanks for any help.

No
That's disappointing but not surprising. Is it the same way on Android as well, you can't download a previous version?
Chris
Correct.
Ok thanks Jim. I'll just have to deal with it.

Jim. I figured I try the production version 4.8.3 with an older iPhone XS Max and see if I had any issues. The the live feed is very hard to get working. I can unplug the cable a couple times and finally get it to work but when I switch between live feed and the map it stops working sometimes. Chris did say the live feed sometimes doesn’t work which is probably why. Also the paths disappear on the map as well. I know this was an issue a while ago on the 4.8.3 and I thought it was corrected. Since I use the Beta versions and you released the 4.90 which fixed those issues I’ve had no reason to use the other. I figured it was all fixed on the production version as well. It still seems the issues are present with the production version at least with IOS devices. I even deleted the Beta version and installed the production version from the Apple Store on my iPad 11 Pro and it has the same problems. I read your comment on the 4.90. Possibly being released in a few weeks so not sure if it’s worth the time trying to fix the current production version. It won’t help Daniel’s performance issues but the live feed and paths missing it is a problem. Maybe the 4.9.0 can be released a bit earlier instead of working on the production version. Sorry, i didn’t mean to throw a wrench in things.
Chris. If you want you can join the Beta and get the 4.9.0 which at least will fix your camera feed issues as well as the paths missing. Otherwise you may need to wait until the newer version is released into production. I have some other suggestions for you but I’ll wait and see if you update first and still having issues. Also the low performance warning is just a warning. As long as you don’t get the “Device Running Too Slow” message it should work well. Let me know. Good luck.

Any update Chris ?
Thanks Mike,
I will join the beta if I'm not already joined. I know I was on the beta for the RC Pro but this is probably a different one. I use the RC Pro with my newer drones and the current version of Dronelink works perfectly with my Mini 3 Pro, but I would really love to get it working on my iPhone XR so that I have the option of using it with my Phantom 3 Standard as I had before. Part of the reason for upgrading to the RC Pro was so that I would not have to worry about keeping my phone updated to keep up with Flight software, so if the beta helps this would be great.

I downloaded the 4.9.0 beta on my iPhone XR. Hope to be able to test it with my P3S soon but need to wait for weather to cooperate. It seems to run better than the previous older version 4.8.X I had on it.
Thanks,
Chris
Was able to test beta v4.9.0 (284) on my iPhone XR and it ran much better than the previous non-beta version. I didn't have any camera feed problems at all. Had some problem trying to initiate an OTF (On The Fly) function but I'll do some more testing when I get a chance.
Chris
Good to hear. Also when using the On the Fly modes you need continuous service whether WiFi or Cellular.
Yes, very happy it worked. I was using my iPhone XR and it had Cellular service at the time and the signal was strong so I don't think that was the issue with the OTF mission, but I'll do some more testing.
