Cell Tower Digital Twinning with Scanlink - Use Case with QNSI, SiteSee, PhilTower

Jacob Rachniowski Dronelink Staff

This use case features a workflow for capturing cell towers using a Dronelink solution, called Scanlink.

QNSI, a telecom service provider in the Philippines, partnered with Dronelink for cell tower flight automation, and SiteSee, for data processing and analytics, to digitally twin over 700 towers in 6 months for PhilTower, a TowerCo. QNSI was able to quickly train over 20 service technicians that were new to drones, and seamlessly integrate drones as another tool in the box, allowing them support the industry's digital transformation drive, and improve the safety and efficiency of their work.

In Scanlink, a simple step-by-step workflow guides pilots to mark key tower inputs using the drone on site, which generates an optimized mission that is required for creating high quality 3D models. The captured data is uploaded to SiteSee’s telecom digital twinning and AI platform, that converts the captured data, into a single source of truth for TowerCOs, to improve asset management workflows, accelerate revenue generation, reduce costs with fewer truck rolls and faster audits, and improve inspections and loading analysis.

Very nice!  What I don't understand is why you didn't send me there to run the training :)

Because I’m a simple man I don’t understand all the technical lingo. However, using DL to accomplish this with Scanlink is incredible. Just another great example of how amazing DL is compared to the others out there. Very impressive.
