Phantom 4 PRO v1 running without virtual sticks
I was going to use the Phantom 4 Pro on a couple of projects, but the project itself. I have the P4P v1, and I know iP4P doesn't work with virtual sticks. I did do extensive testing. However. P4P v1 seems to work fine when converting maps to waypoint and running the converted map as waypoints. The DJI app and drone link can't operate at the same time, correct? So how does drone link know when a battery needs to be replaced? Is obstacle avoidance available when just running Droneline in nonstick mode?

Doesn’t matter which app you’re using. The low battery is controlled by the drones firmware so when it gets low it will RTH. Not sure about avoidance when running onboard waypoints but I’d think it should be the same. My MA2 only works with virtual stick and OV does work.
Thanks for the response; it's appreciated. I forced a couple of low battery conditions during a flight, and it worked as you suggested. I think the P4P works with obstacle avoidance, although I'm not going to press my luck. The sun was getting low during one of my tests, and the drone stopped when the drone was blasted with direct sun.
I can confirm that obstacle avoidance does work on the P4P. But...as you noted, you should not rely on it.
