Camera Option "MAVIC Mini3Pro" and MAVIC Mini3Pro 48MPX" doesn't change anything

A. A

Hello,

I juste Bought the Expert Dronelink after reviewing few sample missions created. I saw on some that we can use the 48MPX capabilities of the mini 3 pro. That was great but .....

I draw missions on both type (same mission grid/overlap/sidelap ) I only change the option between "mini 3" and "mini 3 48 MPX".

On the standard mission i have 3,42cm of GSD and with the 48 MPX i got 1,71cm with is correct so far.

but when i download the photos they got both the same size ... I use WebOdm for the Orthophoto and GSD is 3,42 ....

Is it possible please to correct the DroneLink app to switch correctly to 48 MPX when selected in camera mode.

Thank you in advance.

Rick

If you mean Hobbyist Elite plan then it’s not possible. There is no Expert plan. The setting in the map component at the top is just for the camera sensor. In order to shoot in 48MP you will need a Growth or Enterprise subscription. If you scroll down to the photo type and select “High Resolution” which is what will give you the 48MP it will prompt you to upgrade in order use this feature.

You are right about Elite, sorry.
So sad. I understood that the pro plans are to switch sensor during a mission nevertheless I can plan either in standard or in 48mp !
That s a bit too much commercial for me 😡
I m very disappointed about that.
Thank you for your answer Mike.

I understand about the cost. You can take single 48MP shots using DL just not in the map component. There are several here which use a drone which shoots in 12MP or 20MP and create fantastic 2D &3D images. Only a few drones have 48MP capability like my MA2. If the mapping plan is set up correctly along with all the camera settings and proper speed you should be able to get great shots and hard to tell the difference particularly since most are capturing photos at altitudes of 200’ to 300’. Enjoy Rick.
