Camera start capture failed
I planned a mission on pc and then started the app. Drone goes to the start point of the mission and then tries to take a picture then the messages appaers : camera start capture failed. Tried to set 'distance' to 'time' interval then tried to reduce minimum time interval to 0,7 seconds. Can anybody help? thanks

Was it working well in the simulator ?
yes it did
And it is not the sd card because can take pictures with the dji fly app
Can you share the other details on the error message (usually there is a reason).
It could be the photo interval time you have set. Photo intervals can only be taken at what the drone specs indicate. Most common are 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 etc. Also if shooting in both JPEG & RAW it will need to be set to a minimum of 3 seconds and possibly 5 seconds due to more time needed to process the RAW images. Setting it to 0.7 won’t work. If still an issue then please share the plan or error details as Jim mentioned. You can check that mission in the Web app under your missions tab and see what it indicates.
thanks guys, but i am a totaly new user. where do I find the mission tab? as mike suggest? where do I choose between jpeg or raw or jpeg+raw? Thanks and sorry for my lack of knowledge :-)
now, my simulator is gone, can not find it anymore????

I am glad to share, this is a pure test run, you can not do anything wrong, thanks in advance
Flanders Drones. When you open the Web app go down to the bottom and click on the little clock icon right next to the Home one. That’s shows all your flown missions. Select that mission and see what information is there. Completed, Failed or Paused mission are included. Also the mission preview will show the plan as you set it up but it has no way of knowing which drone your using and what functions it can perform. So even though it looks ready to go any incorrect command may not be indicated. Best way to ensure the mission will work is make sure any command you place in the plan whether it’s a camera, drone or gimbal is doable while using the DJI Fly app. If it won’t work with the DJI app then it won’t work with DL.
If wanting both JPEG + RAW you can either set it in the DJI App first since the settings stick across apps or place camera list at very beginning of plan with both selected.
thanks guys, it is pitch black night here in Belgium, will try tomorrow morning, thanks very mutch for your help, will keep you posted. Sleep well (for this part of the world :-)
Hi, same problem here. Phantom 4 Pro V2, firmware actualised, planned mission(s), camera focusing set to "auto". Always "Camera start capture failed" on the beginning. Tried to dismiss the message, manually take a shot, restart mission. No use. The same mission, camera set to "_" or "Continuous AF", mission running smoothly (and result of almost identical quality). I've read several threads from users with the same problem, but the newest is from 2023. Did somebody solve the problem and I only did not find the solution? Thanks Jan
