M3E Obstacle Avoidance and Radar

For cell tower inspections, it is imperative to have Obstacle Avoidance and Radar on the M3E as all tower captures require compound mapping which puts us in close proximity to powerlines, trees, and other hazardous objects.

    We agree, and from this article:

    • The obstacle avoidance system is not active during Dronelink missions at this time. Dronelink is working with DJI for an update to be released in the future. Take caution and be ready to take control.

    In other words, this is a DJI SDK limitation that we have no control over. If you want to add your voice to the community, please reach out to DJI directly to let them know how you feel.
