360s
Im trying the 360 component as opposed to the panorama mission
Would it be better to capture JPEG or RAW or both ?
I want them to look as undistorted as possible. Is this doable in lightroom or is it easier in something like PTGui?

This is doable in lightroom - but I have found it leaves holes. It's probably just a setting I need to change but I haven't explored too much as I have other alternatives.
If you are on a Windows PC another options is Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) which is a free download.
Or, as you say, PTGui will also do there. PTGui is built on some open source code called Hugin, so a free alternative to PTgui is Hugin. Personally I found it a little fiddly to use.
If that doesn't suit you interesting free alternatives to PTgui are Enblend/Enfuse, Stitch Panorama, AutoStitch Panorama and PhotoStitch.
Hope that helps.
Thanks
