Mavic 3E RC Pro controller

Hello everyone,

Just purchased the Mavic 3E with the RC Pro. Ive installed Dronelink to the controller and logged in with no problems.

Ive tried to launch a mission pre planned and after about 20 seconds of loading the Dronelink app crashes and I end up back on the RC Pro's start screen.

Has anyone else have this issue at all? The missions have a few mapping missions (grids), a couple of orbits and a video component...

Cheers,

Does it only happen on one specific mission or other missions? If it is specific, is it always at the same spot? Can you share your mission plan?

It happened on 2 that I tried to open, however I think I know what may be happening. The 2 missions I opened were quite some distance away from my home where I opened them. Would it be possible that the drone couldn't possibly fly to the start of the mission from its current location therefore the app got confused and shut down? I opened one that was a bit closer and it opened ok. I also did a test mission with all the components I normally use at my house and it completed the mission perfectly.

The only thing I can think of is the mission start was too far away from my current location.

Running the app on the iPad with the phantom 4 didn't have this as an issue (I could open any mission from home and it would load ok), but that may just be the difference between iOS and Android on a DJI controller??

    Cheers,

When you open a mission plan on a device with a known location, or while connected to a drone with a gps fix, the code will attempt to calculate the mission as if it is starting from that location, not the planned location. If you are really far away it is possible that it is trying to calculate a mission that is really long and it runs out of memory I suppose.

Makes sense, I typically have my location services turned off on the iPad so the mission wouldn't know where I was when I opened it, and just opened the mission as it was planned. By using the RC Pro, the mission had the location of where I was and tried to plan that...

Good to know for future reference.

Apart from that, and the lack of collision avoidance, is there any differences we need to know about using the RC Pro and Mavic 3 enterprise compared to "normal" flights with the Phantom 4 and iPad?

    Cheers,
