DJI RC Pro + Air 2s + Elite Hobbiest account issue

I'm not sure if this was a bug or something else, but posting it under general for now... I was about to try to fly a map today using Dronelink on my DJI RC Pro to control my Air 2S. I got an odd warning about it not being supported at my account level which made no sense as I triple checked I'm elite which supports the Air series of drones according to the hobbyist features on the pricing page, yet it's claiming that you can't use the air 2s on the elite plan.
Now I do have the Mini 3 Pro as well (which was the drone I had selected when getting the download as when I selected the Air 2s, the app complained about not having google play on the controller). Do I need 2 versions of the app installed so I can use it with my M3Pro as well as the A2s? Is there some reason why it could be complaining about the air2s on the DJI RC Pro?

Hmm, the only problem is the Dronelink app is complaining about Google Play Store, which obviously isn't installed on the RC Pro; really not sure how to get around that as I really don't want all of google services running on my controller. Also just as a curiosity - since it seems the "new" sdk appears to support the Air 2s, was there some issue with controlling the air2s that prevented it from being added to dronelink's recognized drone versions?
As stated in the linked thread, you need to use Dronelink DJI for the Mini 3, and Dronelink for the Air 2S:
Looking at other posts I’ve located, looks like the app requires Google services so I guess I’m out of luck using my a2s to map at least for now. I’ll just use my m3p and hope for proper a2s identification and support in the next sdk release. Until that hopefully happens I guess I can find my rc n-1 and use my iPhone with it and the air 2s which I think should work on dronelink for iOS still - just prefer my other controller
And yes I did notice the identifier portion of that comment, but that wasn’t really my question regarding its functionality - no big deal was just a curiosity :).
If you are using the RC Pro, you should be able to install the Dronelink app (not Dronelink DJI) and use it with your Air 2S without installing the Google Play Services APK. If what is blocking you is the DJI_AIR_2S not supported error, then it means you are using the wrong app.
I understood that about the 2 apps and the DJI_AIR_2S error. I didn't go far into using the version of the app that would support the drone due to the message at the top "Dronelink won't run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device." - I figured at some point during its operation the app would no longer work correctly (or just stop working) potentially while the drone is in the air. From what you're saying, that is a spurious message that I can disregard; I will give it a try later today. I apologize for being difficult.

You should be able to ignore that - I believe it is coming from Google Maps.
Tony - Were you able to get this working? I'm seeing the same warning on my RC Pro but I stopped at the point of the warning message assuming the app wouldn't work. I do not have a paid Dronelink account to login to yet.
Jim McAndrew - can anyone actually confirm whether or not the RC Pro with Air 2S is actually supported by Dronelink (not Dronelink DJI)? I'm wanting to give Dronelink a try, but didn't want to get a subscription and the app not actually work on the RC Pro.
I have not yet been able to test - I had planned to on Saturday but we ended up having storms and then not great weather Sunday. I won't be able to tonight, but I plan to test tomorrow after work; I'll update after testing; doing a map pattern that I've used before over my house to keep it close in for the test.

Colt West Jim McAndrew Just wanted to let both of you know - I tested today with my DJI RC Pro and Air 2s, both fully up to date and Dronelink (not Dronelink DJI which supports the mini 3 pro) worked perfectly with my mapping (actually processing now with WebODM). You do have to make sure to kill/disable the DJI Fly app as it seems to like to try to seize control (I believe it was mentioned during the beta that you needed to stop the DJI Fly App for proper operation), but after that, it never lost communication during the flight (about a 10 minute flight path) and did everything it was supposed to :)
Tony Harris Did the "Dronelink won't run without Google Play Services" message persist the entire time?
Colt West It only showed on the initial start screen at the top, it wasn't on any of the subsequent pages. If you return to the initial start screen you'll see the warning at the top but isn't affecting anything it seems. So when I pulled up the map I created to edit the message wasn't there, and when I selected the map I wanted to fly and it went to that screen the warning wasn't there.
I am also having the same problem. I have subscribed to Elite status and it worked with my Air2s and RCPro until recent upgrades.
In summary: Air2s + RCPro + latest DJI and Dronelink APK (downloaded from Dronelink).
I get a message on the controller that Elite class is no longer supported on the Air2s. Please upgrade.
