Do Restriction Zones work with Return to Home?

I'm not seeing any relevant posts on my question. Forgive me if I missed it.

I'm flying a waypoint mission to photograph a highway from one side. I have at least one section where the curve in the highway means that normal RTH behavior would mean the drone flies over the highway when returning to home. So my thought was to add a restriction zone polygon for the section of highway I'm shooting. But I'm not seeing any notes about whether the restriction zone is honored by the RTH function, and the simulator doesn't simulate the RTH.

Will this work? The alternate solution I can think of is to have the last waypoint veer away from the highway far enough that the straight-line RTH no longer risks overflight of the highway, but I'd still like clarity about whether a restriction zone could be used this way.
