Starting from higher locations / rooftops
Hi everyone,
I just started using DL and find it a very helpful tool, so thanks for the great work.
I want to describe my mission first: We're usually flying in urban areas with buildings about 15 - 40m high. Our takeoff location is the rooftop of one of the buildings and we want to map the area. Now I have some quesitions:
When planning the flight I set the altitude above takeoff location (for example 70m) and the overlap and DL calculates image locations. But when starting from a building which is 30m high the drone will rise to 100m above ground / street level and therefore the overlaps will no longer match to the altitude. If I set the altitude above takeoff location to 40m, the flight altitude would be at 70m above ground / street as planned, but the overlap is calculated for 40m flight altituted and therefore still won't match. How can I avoid this?
One idea was to use Terrain Follow (AGL), so the drone calculates its distance from the ESRI terrain model by GPS height. But I don't know, if AGL really works like that.
Can someone help me out with that? I'm on the starter plan.

Thank you a lot! I couldn't find that post by myself but I will give it a try.
