Camera pitch angle decreases during mapping mission

Ari Nissinen

Hi! When flying mapping missions, the program sets the camera pitch angle once in the beginning of the mapping task. However, due to movements of the drone and stabilized gimbal behavior (dji mini 2 in my case), the camera pitch angle raises slightly in turns, reaching higher and higher angles. This is very prominent behavior in high wind conditions. Thus, after the sharp turn, I need to remember to manually point the camera back to -90 deg pitch angle for the next flight line.

Would you please add the setting of the camera angle to the beginning of every flight line in the mapping mission? This would largely fix the problem. Thanks! Ari

I've also just noticed - after flying several mapping missions - that the camera on our DJI Mini 2 does not point straight down when setting gimpal pitch to -90degrees. I have suspected this quite some time but not investigateed it properly. Now after comparing several sets of photos it is obvious when looking at facades entering the camera angle and leaving some shots later.

We tested this and it appears to be a hardware issue that only happens sometimes.

Will add this to the feature request list.
