Issue with Waypoints Mission: Restarted but No Video Recorded

Hello everyone,

I recently encountered an issue with a waypoints mission (Mini 3, beta 259, Samsung A34, Android 13).

Here's what happened:

During a waypoints mission, DL unexpectedly crashed. However, I managed to restart it successfully. Initially, it seemed like the mission was completed properly from start to end. However, upon reviewing the footage, I discovered that no video was recorded after the restart, even though all the movements were executed correctly.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with waypoints missions?

Are there any specific settings or troubleshooting steps I should consider to ensure that the video recording functions properly after a restart?

Thank you in advance for your help and support. I look forward to hearing your advice.

I have seen this too. @Jim - this is what would get me when restarting an orbit after a battery change. The very next component would fail to record video. I am usually just watching this to then hit the button manually if needed.

Can you share a mission plan you want us to test, and indicate where I should pause and restart?

    Hi, Jim.

I copied the on-the-fly mission to public repository. Here is the link:  https://app.dronelink.com/davit-harutyunyan/my-test-public-plans/plan/Y9826GAMA2Ywf4TuXcgY/8G9A5N1DH10ZiP4HWPgg

During the first engagement the application crashed. I tried to resume it and it started from the very beginning, but later I discovered that no video was recorded during the second engagement.

I tested this by doing a normal resume, and by force quitting the app and then resuming, and both times the video restarted for me. Does it happen every time for you guys or just randomly?

Jim McAndrew - I don't want to hijack Davit's thread as his issue may be subtlety different but at least in my case, It happens when the mission is interrupted between execution of components.  For example, two back to back orbits, both with video....if I interrupt and resume, on the second orbit it won't start automatically shooting video.

Jim McAndrew - It happened only once.

It happens when the mission is interrupted between execution of components.

Just tested this case and could not reproduce the issue. It happens every time for you?

    It happened only once.

It sounds like a fluke then. If you can find steps to reproduce it consistently, let us know.
