Gimbal Angle Behavior in DL's Mission Preview: Seeking Explanation and Assistance

As a novice I'm currently trying to understand the DL's logic by experimenting with simple plans. However, I sometimes encounter DL's behavior for which I can't find explanation. I'm hopeful that more experienced colleagues can assist me.

In waypoint action 1 and waypoint action 2, the gimbal angle is approximately the same -58 degrees. Since the interpolation for waypoint action 2 is set to linear, I assumed that the gimbal angle between these two waypoint actions should not change significantly. However, in the mission preview, it is evident that the gimbal angle initially becomes more negative (up to -67) and only then returns to a value of -58 degrees. Can you explain such behavior of the program? I sincerely appreciate your assistance.

It is interpolating between two points of interest. If you run the preview you can see the point that it is interpolating as it moves between the two.

However, in my understanding, when the gimbal angles at waypoint action 1 and waypoint action 2 are both approximately -58 degrees, the linear interpolation between them should not result in an angle of -67 degrees at any point (if it is linear function). This seems contradictory to my expectations.
It is interpolating between two points on the ground relative to a moving point in the air. If you want it to interpolate between angles, then use gimbal pitches instead of POIs.
If you used a fixed gimbal angle then you would be correct. But, you are using a POI. The drone will keep the POI in frame and, as it moves closer and then further away, the gimbal angle will need to change to accommodate that.
