4.6.0 (257)
I know about all the app crashes happening with the Mini 3 and Android. If it’s the same issue when using even my MA2 and iPad 11 Pro, M2 then I apologize. Very rare for me to see it happen over and over but I tried several missions of which about 12 or more times it closed. Hard to remember all the instances but sometimes after starting up and going into the flight dashboard to check all the settings then backing out, sometimes when loading for off-line use and backing out and once after I paused then resumed mission. I cancelled my first day out in awhile when the winds were actually calm at 3 to 8 mph. 😂 Lol….. Since I just download this today I thought I’d mention it. As I mentioned, if it is the same issue effecting all drones and devices then apologies. For now I’ll just go back to previous version which worked until corrected.

The crashing is specific to Android / MSDKv5. Are you able to reproduce it every time with specific steps? Do the same steps work in 256?
At home now and going to try with previous versions to see which works without issues. Maybe we can pin point it down to when.
Flew 3 missions on build (256). I even tried a major stress test by going into the flight dashboard and checking the settings a few times and backing out several times. Downloading missions for off-line as well. No issues until I tried just before the third flight trying to stress it again. It closed once but I contribute that to my hard core use. Lol… When just opening and running a mission it had no issues. Obviously I’d don’t normally use it and stress test it but thought I’d try just to see what it would do. Hopefully that can help narrow it down to the latest (257) build. As always, if a version works I’ll use it until further notice. Thanks Jim.
Probably need to do the same thing in 257 again, and then if there are specific steps or workflows that make it happen all the time let me know.
Understood.
I tried my second mission, it was successful. But App crashed more than 10 times. I have been using android phone. Things are getting better. Thanks Jim
George and Patrick. Thanks for the input. If the drones are the Mini 3 then most of this has been reported but still helpful. Make sure you add the drone model and Device info in your post as it can make a difference. My issues are with the MA2 using IOS as I mentioned. Usually a good idea to list the drone model, device and possibly the OS version. More info can’t hurt and sometimes it is needed. I’m sure it will get ironed out and I’m going to try several of the previous Beta builds tomorrow and give some more info. Thanks again for input.
Bad day for me so I could not actually fly any missions. I figured I try testing just the app stability and downloaded 4.6.0 (258) newest Beta build without connecting the drone. Tried about 4 to 5 times to just load the app and check the settings and then close the settings. App closed . Forced closed the app and opened again and downloaded a couple missions for off-line. Backed out and App closed. Already reported issues with (257) so I figured I try build (256) to check settings and download missions. A couple crashes. Before testing each of these builds I did completely delete the app restarted my iPad and then redownloaded it so it was all fresh. Went back down to build (255) and tried same basic process with settings and downloading missions. (255) seems to being working without crashes. Not sure if that helps but maybe it’s something which started after (255) but I’m not the genius. If I can get out tomorrow and fly several short/ quick mission at home with (255) I’ll report if any issues. Then I may try other builds if possible to see if it works or not and when it specifically happens. Regardless of which build the crashes do appear to happen when either going back out of a mission or the settings. Not always but many times. Again, MA2, iPad 11 Pro, M2, IOS version 16.4.1 (a). The (a) is a new rapid security response but I doubt that’s it since it states it is just a way to update security in the software instead of downloading the entire software every time which takes a lot longer. Just thought I’d throw that in since you never know. This was a fairly recent software update.
Thanks for the extra details - will investigate.
Does 259 fix it?
Tried 4.6.0 (259) I Haven’t been able to actually fly a mission recently but I did try the same process of loading missions, checking all the settings over and over. Tried stressing it out by clicking on everything just to see how much it could take. Many times over the last couple days and it has so far not closed once. Hopefully I can get out in the next few days to test with a few missions. I did a quick connect to my MA2 with my iPad 11 Pro today and loaded several missions and checked all settings. Camera feed all good, and all settings checked without issues so hopefully all is well. 👍🏼 Thanks Jim. As always, great support.
