Mini 3 Pro - RC Pro Feedback
My hardware / Software:
- DJI Mini 3 Pro (latest firmware)
- DJI RC Pro (latest firmware)
- Dronelink DJI 4.5.1 (250) | Kernel 4.5.1
Hi, new to Dronelink and the beta, completed a few test flights with the Mini 3 Pro and I have to say I am very impressed. App seems to be very stable, not had any issues with crashes or freezes etc.
So far, the only (possible) issues I've noticed is the sound from the app does not always work, noticed the mainly with the camera shutter sound (if there is one?), I also get no sounds on the missions such as waypoint reached / audio feedback (again, if there are any?) This could be by design. I'm not used Dronelink before so have no idea how it should really act.
By far the biggest annoyance for me though is the physical shutter button on the RC Pro does not function with Dronelink. Works as expected in the DJU Fly app, but on Dronelink nothing happens and no picture is taken, so I have to use the button on the screen.
The other issues I've had seem to be purely user error on my part and after some tinkering managed to self resolve.
Fantastic work all around, looking forward to heading back and trying new builds.

The shutter button issue was documented a while back. It is a DJI issue with the SDK and nothing to do with Dronelink. which is using the DJI SDK. ie DJI need t fix it. They have done a great job with this app I agree.
Reported elsewhere and on the list. Probably not going to fix this any time soon.
This is a DJISDK bug and we are investigating a software work-around for it.
I have also flown a few missons with the same combo as the OP. All missions were 'On the Fly' map. Issues I noticed so far are:
1) During one mission, a sequence of images were stored on the internal memory and then swapped over to recording on the SD card. I wasn't aware of asking it to record on internal memory and for all the other earlier missions that day, the SD card was used.
2) At one point the map view in the corner was behind the camera image feed so I couldn't see all of the map.
3) I can't seem to get it to take 48mp images in an on-the-fly map mission.
Overall though, very impressed with DL on the RC Pro and Mini Pro 3.
1) If you have steps to reproduce this please share.
2) Also, steps to reproduce or did it just happen once randomly?
3) On the fly maps don’t support selecting this option. You need to save the mission from your history to a repository and then edit it from there.
1) it was the last mission of the day and I had flown about 5 or 6 missions that morning. I switched back to DJI fly briefly to collect some video and then went back to drone link for the final mission. At that point I think it filled the internal memory first then switched to the SD card.
2) I can't remember anything specific, it jus seemed to happen randomly.
3) That's a pity but not a deal breaker, I got good results with the 12mp camera anyway.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. This was literally the first time I've used it so I need to play around some more.
I noticed that some waypoints, map and orbit, we have to disable APAS by accessing DJI FLY APP, before running Dronelink. If not, P-GPS will be unstable with constant disconnection.
When I do that, I have no problems with my quests.
I have a SIM card dongle in my RC PRO, and I see DJI FLY recognize my internet, and show my carrier on the screen, however Dronelink seems to require me to have WIFI instead of using my 4G which is in the DJI RC PRO dongle .
Current build of DL DJI Beta is 258
I have used dronelink 4.5.1 beta a few time with the mini 3 pro seems to work ok had a few missions stop but restarted when i pushed the play button. Prety good software i guess it will only get better
