Mapping time question
Question i did a map of an area using the AIR 2S Time to complete Mission says 49min Thats fine allready did it , THE QUESTION IS .... i picked the Mavic enterprise (Mavic3E) witch has a mechanical shutter this mission should take little time but when i click on the time tab to see its says 53min for same mission Why IS IT more THAN THE AIR 2S ?
The mavic 3 E should be fast since it has a mechanical shutter ,

You set the speed in the map. You are correct that the M3E can map faster, but only if you change the capture speed. Change that to a higher value (it would have been better to include a link to your plan for additional information) and you will see the time drop.
If the question is why did it increase, the Air2S has a very wide field of view so it is likely that the M3E will need to make an additional pass or two to provide the same overlap.
here you go

were is the capture speed for the photos lol please see link
are you talking about ( SPEED MAX) setting if so what speed
what is the max speed photo capture for the mavic 3 E soory for the re asked question i dont see it
Thanks for the link.
What is it that you are doing? It looks like a golf course, so if you are just creating a map then you don't need the grid, a simple lawnmower pattern will be just fine for that. If you are doing 3D then a grid is a good idea.
In terms of the max speed, I know I have a friend that runs maps with that at over 30mph and still gets good results. However, DL might not allow you to go that fast. I know it has limits based on capture speed, physics, etc.
Thanks no its a new Condo Development (OLD) Golf course i was just testin the map took me 50min with the air 2s but when i switch project to mavic 3E it says more time than the air 2s , i though the mavic 3 e takes photos every 2 sec were in dron link do you set that that was my question lol thanks ,
So does the time fram of the project depend on the SPEED of the drone (MAX speed ? dont see the photo speed in the software
Hi Steve. The mission preview estimate is approximate. I’m guessing the time difference is more than likely due to the drones capabilities. As far as Capture Speed and other advanced features in expert mapping, you would need a Growth or Enterprise business plan to utilize that feature. The time will depend on the drones speed which it can actually run and if using capture speed it will take even longer. Many variables. Remember that the max speed set is only what it may get up to if possible. So if set to 20 mph but the length of the path is very short or had a turn then more than likely it will never get to that top speed. The mission preview will indicate the drones speed along the path based on the plans set up.
The photo interval time is further down on the map component. Default is always set to 2 seconds and if you can’t see it then you just need to either click on advanced to extend the card to show everything or you may need to switch to Expert mode. Normal mode hides a lot of feature which most don’t need to mess with. Hope that helps. Enjoy…
