Does DL support LIVE stream into Youtube, RTMP, other..?

Stig Førrisdal
DL-team; We are planning to use DL (Automated Waypoint Missions), on festivals this spring, with a need for distribution to external partners LIVE video from the drones. What are the possibilites to support LIVE stream when using DL into Youtube, RTMP, other..?

DL does not currently support live streaming, but it is something we are open to if you could help us understand a few things:

    1. How soon are the festivals?
    2. Which service(s) do you prefer?
    3. How big are the festivals and is there a way to promote Dronelink in the stream?

    Quick answer:

    1. How soon are the festivals?

We are doing planning mid Mai and will start training Mai/June. First festival week 30 and week 34.

    2. Which service(s) do you prefer?

Keep It simple - Youtube stream, just video, is more than enough. Map is optional.

    3. How big are the festivals and is there a way to promote Dronelink in the stream?

We can promote DL on the festivals. 200.000 persons are visiting the festivals during -8- eight days (4x2).

Addition: No issues to promote DL inside the stream. The Security Companies, Police, Fire Departments, Red Cross and Health Care will follow the streams.

Addition II: We are in a process with a Security Company for establishing an AUTOMATED VIDEO ANALYSIS (AI-based) Solution (..existing and running from within mounted cameraes today).
The DL-Video-Stream will be «linked» to this approach if established… #WinWinPartners

Can you share links to the festivals? Also which drones / mobile devices are you using?

    PLANNING / PROGRESS Req.:
We are planning for a followup meeting 11.05.2023 with the project team. Will there be a possibility to have some feedback from you (DL-Team) related to a doable solution before 11.05.202?

Thanks for the links. I can to look into it today to estimate the feasibility, but what I can say is it is probably a different implementation for each combination of DJI SDK (MSDK) and OS, so if you could only have one combination by that time, which would it be?

    • Android / MSDKv5: supports Mini3Pro
    • Android / MSDKv4: supports Mavic2pro, Mavic2Zoom, Mavic2EA and Matrice210v2
    • iOS / MSDKv4: supports Mavic2pro, Mavic2Zoom, Mavic2EA and Matrice210v2

Sadly, Mavic 3 classic is not supported in any version of the MSDK.

    Short comment:
Did fly my Mavic2Pro with the same BETA version as we used for testing the Mini3Pro. Make sence?

The MSDKv4 drones (Mini2, Mavic2pro, Mavic2Zoom, Mavic2EA and Matrice210v2) are only supported in the Dronelink app, whereas the MSDKv5 drones (Mini 3, Mavic 3E/T, M30/T) are only supported in the Dronelink - DJI app. The two apps will have the same version number but they are each built with a different underlying SDK.

It looks like adding RTMP streaming may be feasible in this timeframe for at least Dronelink - DJI (MSDKv5) but we had a few additional questions that might be better suited for a phone call. Can you email sales@dronelink.com to continue the conversation?
