New Phone

Rick Raley

Quick question. I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G because I was using an S8. The 4 times I have used it to map a jobsite, It doesn't stay on course and goes for long stretches with taking no pictures. It seems drunk in it's flight pattern and I'm getting lousy results. I'm using a Mavic Air 2 and have been using Dronelink for at least a year now with few problems. My old phone never had a problem flying it straight and while it would sometimes miss a couple of pictures and then take 3-4 quickly, nothing like the gaps I'm experiencing with my new phone. Sorry at work, don't have time for a complete bug report, maybe sometime soon. Just looking for a quick take on whether I'm the only one having these problems.

Thanks, I'm going to drone the site later I'll record the flight.

Here's a screenshot of my flight yesterday from maps made easy showing the locations of the pictures it took.

It is possible the drone started having RF interference as it got further away from you?

Possible, it is worse the farther away it is. Never happened before and I've been farther than this. Could be something about that site, I'll try our yard here.

Worked much better at our yard, must be something about that site, I'll try taking off from the center of the site and see if I have better luck. Thanks for your help.
