Crazy speed at beginning of the orbit

Pedro Silva

I have a mission with some concentric orbits. I set some seconds of waiting before starting the orbit, at the entry point.

When the orbit starts, the lateral speed is clearly much higher than the set speed, and after couple seconds at this higher speeds the drone slows down with a harsh brake, i can see from far that the drone heavily bounces to start the orbit at higher speed and then again to slow down. Not smooth at all. Very high jerk movements, and wrong speed at beginning.

If my mission configuration is wrong, please someone let me know because i am a new user, not too much experience with Dronelink. This is the mission:

Hi Jim. No, will try a bit later today. By the way, yesterday i had updated to the beta and today there was again another update, 4.5.0(246). Is that correct? Thanks!

The beta build number updates all the time as we make new releases.

Jim, i just tried to make the mission with the latest Beta. Drone goes up to the first orbit entry point and then before heading the center of the orbit it gives me this message:

I have dismissed and pressed play many times, doesn't work. i had to abort and come back.

Please help. Waiting your guidance to try again, as we have a great day to fly today.

Again my mission in this case:

Ah, one last comment: i don't need any gimbal movement, i am not making any image. If there is a way to totally disable it, for me no problem...

Gimbal unavailable usually means you need to restart the drone or there is some issue with the hardware. Also, the screenshot shots you are in F, not P (required).

I am confused, because when i am P (at the first flight ever i was) i got a message from DL stating that to be able to control the flight i should put in F mode... I don't remember the exact words, but something like this. Confused now...

No prob. Is that a way to totally disable the gimbal, i mean, just leave it quiet and don't send any command for gimbal?
