HowTo set 48 MPixel Photo resolution in Dronelink for DJI Mini 3 Pro?
I haven't found a way to set the Photo Mode to 48 MPixel for the DJI Mini 3 Pro in Drone Link.
From the DJI SDK is seems to be easy to seems to be an easy modification to just set the CameraMode to PHOTO_HIGH_RESOLUTION. Please support it in your DroneLink app as soon possible.
--> Mobile-SDK-Android-V5-dev-sdk-main/Docs/Android_API/en/Components/IKeyManager/DJIValue.html?search=photo&i=7&#value_camera_enum_cameramode_inline
Thanks a lot....

The DJI SDK is not returning high resolution as one of the options available for the Mini 3, even though DJI Fly allows it to be selected. I have reported it to them as a bug.
Okay, so it will take some more time (if ever) to get 48 MPixel photos working with the Mini 3 Pro ....
;-(
Thanks for the quick reply.
I suppose you could always try just adding a photo type command with high resolution to your mission plan to just see if it happens to work.
Okay thanks for this hint, I will try it asap....
Unfortunately I can't try it with my "Hobbyist Elite" plan ;-(
Is it possible to reactivate my "Professional- Growth" plan during the Beta period?
I promise not to use any of results, professionally....
Thanks,
Andreas
Hey Jan_Osch. Just something you can try to see if the 48MP photos will even work with the Mini 3 using DL. You can test any camera commands to see which ones works with your drone. Create a plan with only camera commands. No other component like a path, map, orbit or checkpoint to it. Just the camera settings. All you should have is the purple reference pin and no other components. Basically just a stop capture, camera mode photo, camera photo type High Resolution and start capture. It should take just one photo. Always a good idea to remove the props at first so it can not actually launch if you made a mistake and had a path component added. You can test indoors just to see which camera functions will work. Once ready just start up and connect the drone and DL as usual. Load the camera only component plan and make sure it is the correct one by looking at the map which should only have the purple reference pin. Click start and the camera commands will load quickly and report if any error or if completed. You can then check the photo to see if in fact it did take a 48MP. Very easy way to test any camera commands to see which ones work without actually launching the drone. Good luck.
Hi Mike,
you're right - command sequence you suggest indeed allows to take either 12Mp or 48Mp photos on Mini 3 Pro.
Use "Camera Photo Type" for
Mode "Super Resolution" don't work for the Mini 3 Pro
I created a simple demonstration here:

In my case I have a Mavic Air 2 and it seems to do the same thing. No matter how I select the drone (48mp) it takes photos in 12 mp and I don't have the right plan to change it to the type of photo of a Map for example.
So for an individual user, if he doesn't pay $40/month!! It can't take 48 MP pictures in a Map with an Air 2 ?
You really don't understand how to understand the product pricelist obviously. The hobbyist license model is a one-time payment.
Mats Hägglund I understand very well, but to be able to change the type of photo in a Map, you must at least have an Enterprise Growth license. This option is not available in individual plans and in the basic enterprise plan. If you have this option, I'm a taker.
I have seen that the the 48 MPixel would need the monthly Professionally Growth plan (edit not: Enterprise).
You would only need a Growth plan, not a Enterprise. I don’t work for or speak for DL but I’m sure if they gave any Hobbyist a business Growth plan for free then more would ask for the same. DL is in the business of making money and some Hobbyist have used their DL plan for commercial/ business purposes which is a violation of the terms of agreement. To be honest for a Hobbyist the 48 MP photos aren’t really needed for recreation/fun. There are a lot of pilots on here which shoot in 12 MP and create 2D and 3D imagery. Just my thoughts. Enjoy.
Yeah, totally agree, I';ve shot all types with my mini2 and pleased with what it kicks out
You were right, It is the professional growth plan.
If I would want to cheat, I would do the project in the 14 day money back period.
With the Beta I do risk my drone - having issues, and (as it currently seem to have a bug in the SDK) will not be able to take 48 MPix pictures.
I had signed up for the professional growth plan, tried it and canceled it in the money back period (by mail).
Same experiences - no answer by mail.
(so after some months I wrote again - and received the refund)
This is my personal experience with Dronelink.
Happy for you, Martin, that your Mini2 is sufficient,
For me trying Photogrammetry with the Mini 2 photos were not in focus in small distances.
As the Mini 3 also shoots 48 MPix I would like to try it to see the difference. (also how Dronelink handles manual & Autofocus)
And may become a customer for more costly license.
All this does is reduce our ability to continue to pump out high quality new features. For more background:

I have the elite and I use my phantom 4 pro v2..it is a 20 mp camera and the quality is really good if you put your settings correct...I also have the air 2 and to be honest that 48 mp is not really 48 mp (quad Bayer trick) I tested both of them and the quality of the phantom was superior to the air2 48 mp. I know the phantom has a 1"sensor but the test was done bright daylight no shadows...
Andreas Jaensch. Shooting in 48 MP will not help with motion blur, fuzzy or out of focus photos. You mentioned “small distances” which I’m assuming you mean at “low altitude.” Most mapping is done at altitudes of usually 200’ and even higher. The lower you fly the slower the max speed needs to be. You will probably need to slow down the drones max speed and use a faster shutter speed among other settings. Regardless of which photo type results will be the same and clear photos are not hard to get. If you share a mapping plan your talking about I’m sure someone here who does a lot of mapping can help you. People are here to help but we need to see what your creating.
