DJI Smart Controller "Low Performance Device" - Stuck on Loading with Mavic 2 Pro

Ted Somerville

Hello,

Today I bought Dronelink for the DJI Smart Controller that I use with my Mavic 2 Pro. I downloaded the apk file specific to the controller, installing the app, firing it up, logged in with my credentials, everything normal. Upon trying to make my first mission by tapping the Create button, it showed me a warning saying "Low Performance Device: Using this device may result in poor app performance or other unexpected issues. Please consider upgrading to a higher performance device for a safer and more reliable experience." I tapped "I Understand" to proceed anyway, but it just got stuck in a perpetual loading screen, and I was unable to make any mission or action to even test it out since it never reached that.

This makes no sense to me because the Smart Controller is a vast improvement over the cheap standard-issued controller expanding battery time and the drone's signal range.  It should be a much more powerful and higher-functioning device than the one that came with the drone. I don't even have the old RC anymore to test Dronelink on my phone and plugged into that.  Dronelink is supposed to work just fine with the Mavic 2, so I'm not sure it wouldn't also be designed to work just as well with its superior controller. Is there a way to fix this issue via firmware or something? I'm surprisingly not finding any solution for this in any other forum or Google search.

Thank you in advance for any fix suggestions!
