Pro Mini 3 Pro Beta test flight feedback

Jeremy

I was able to get my Mini 3 Pro connected to the new beta app today after recently acquiring the DJI N1 controller and a Motorola moto g stylus (2022) running Android 11. Overall I had success with some of the expected issues that have already been reported. I was able to fly a simple waypoint mission with 3 waypoints fairly close to the home point. I had some issues when I planned a little bit more complex mission using 6 waypoints with a few points of interest thrown in. The drone would launch and then bounce back into APAS mode where I would then manually land the drone. From the little bit of time I was able to spend with it, it felt like the addition of 'points of interest seemed' to crash the application just after takeoff. As others have reported, I could not see any streaming video through the app however the controls seemed to take photos and video that were stored on the internal SD card. I hope to do more tomorrow or Friday. Hopefully this is valuable information, if anything specifically would help the beta process let me know and I can provide those details.

Only thing I can help with is the APAS which is usually due to the bypass/ fly around enabled. If turned to brake only or off it should not switch into APAS and error out. In very rare cases it has done this with my MA2 and I just wait for about 10 seconds and hit resume and it runs the mission. So you can also try that. Otherwise disable if it continues all the time.

Ah, that makes sense! So I would disable that in the DJI app prior to launching or could I do that in the beta Dronelink app?

Jeremy, also found this in the DL help articles. So should just turn off at this point. Disable in DJI Fly app. All settings in the DJI app stick across apps so any Max altitude, distance, RTH altitude, RTH state on disconnect etc will be in the drones firmware. Once it’s set there will be no reason to change or adjust anything in DL. A few things you can change in DL native app like RTH altitude etc. but most is done through the DJI app.
