Link direct from linear to circular path

I would like to ask if it was possible, in designing a mission, to directly link a linear path to a circular one, without necessarily having to go first towards an "approach" point between the two sections. This prevents a video from being linear and enjoyable, because there is always a useless and abrupt phase of approach between the 2 segments (the linear and the circular one of the path).
