M2P Orbit Issue

Keith Logan

Hi

I've just started using Dronelink. I created a basic Orbit but when I watch the footage it isn't smooth. I'm using a Mavic 2 Pro. The mission was at 10mph.

How can I achieve smoother footage?

Thanks

There are quite a few other threads on this already.

This FAQ article attempts to sum it up.

Jim - I still have pretty unstable orbit with the mavic 2 even with the firmware update... are there new interpolation setting for within the orbit control that allow me to address this for the mavic 2 air?

Hi Peter and Keith. Can you send a link to a video with the issue. I’m curious to see what it looks like compared to mine and others I’ve seen.

    Thanks, Mike…..

Have you tried slowing it down?

Have you tried Orbit Mode (on the fly) vs using the Orbit component in a mission plan (assuming this was a mission plan)?

I am going to test slowing it down, the mission was running at 10mph. Going to try 7mph

Haven't tried Orbit mode on the fly yet, why would that make a difference?

If 7 doesn't work, keep going lower to see when it does.

It is a completely different piece of code that I spent months trying to optimize for smoothness. The frustrating bit is the same exact code produces awesome results on the Phantoms and Inspires.
