Collision avoidance within a mission?

Tim B

During a mission will my drone's collision avoidance kick if, for example, I set a point on a path to an altitude that if carried out would come in contact (crash) with a tall tree?

Assuming you have it enabled, it will act the same as if you were on the sticks.

Jim, Not sure why but sometimes if I forget to change the Bypass to just Brake in the Fly app it will fail and indicate APAS and a error. They removed the APAS on or off switch option several DJI Fly app version ago so no way to turn APAS on or off. Only option now is to set it to Brake or Fly around in the app. Why does it work most of the time but sometimes indicate APAS instead of Joystick sometimes and fail. Very curious. I know you mentioned to turn off APAS awhile ago but it’s not even available in the app anymore.
