Beginner's question about connecting my ipad
Hello. Can you use an iPad without a mobile data SIM card? In case it is not possible, could I use a shared connection from my phone to the ipad?

Assuming you are talking about flying missions with Dronelink - you don't need an internet connection to fly.
If you want to run the planner in the field, then yes an internet connection is necessary and you can generate that connection using your phone.
As a caveat to this: Always make certain that your app is up to date and all firmware updates are in place before you go out to some remote area. I fire up the drone with DJI fly and then Dronelink before leaving home to make sure everything is happy before flying in earnest.

Additional information for you: I use a WiFi only IPad Mini 5. Yes, you can use a device with cellular coverage if needed. I use my Iphone device with Hot Spot to connect to my IPad to change or add anything in the plan on site. Also before you leave a WiFi connection you can go into the Native App and download any plan for offline use.
