can not complete a map
I have a spark combo and it seems that I can not complete a simple map of a 2 hectares area using dronelink.
the spark is disconnected all the time and stops the mission. I restart it and after a few meters the same happened. I changed the connection frequency to a 2.4GHz one so that it covers a larger area, and it continues to happen.
an other issues comes occasionally that I have to remove a component (!!!) which I do not know what this component is about.
Is there anything I should do in order to use my spark for simple mapping?

Upgrade to a Drone with ocusync.
Jim, thank you for the answer.
I understand that there is no way to achieve mapping a small area with my spark combo. So upgrading to mavic 2 pro is the only way to bypass the issues and map. or there could be a "short term" solution too?
in the specs of spark says range of about 2,5km and here it creates this issue from 200-300m only!
could there be a setting or the landscape that is a bit complex.
tell you the truth, I thought you just load the flight plan on the drone and it follows the instructions on its own. no need to communicate with the ground. but here it seems that you send the instructions to the drone from the ground, so you need to be connected all the time... which is not very useful some times.
Hi Costas. I understand your frustration. Dronelink uses Virtual Sticks for a good reason. All the other mission apps use Onboard Waypoints which makes them limited in what they can do. In my opinion Dronelink is the best Mission App because of the Virtual Stick approach. This is one of the main reasons I purchased it. Many of the drones in the last few years or so are able to stay connected from much longer distances then needed to fly a mission. My Mavic Mini is reported to go 2.5 miles so at 2,000 feet which is the farthest I’ve ever flown it, makes it more then capable of staying connected for a mission. I’ve always had full signal bars and it doesn’t even have Ocusync. Obviously the Spark has only about half the transmission distance of the Mavic Mini but seems like it should still get more the 300m which is still about 1,000 feet. You could try a Parabolic Dish booster or Yagi Directionals. They never work as good as advertised but they can help and possibly give you a better connection. They’re only about $10 US dollars or less so not expensive.
Could always upgrade to the MA2 for half the price of the M2P. Whatever you decide I’m sure you will be extremely happy with the App.
Good luck. Mike.......

maybe then an additional feature could be to show on the map the limits you can fly with every drone taking in consideration the altitude and terrain level. so that you do not plan flights that are impossible to complete due to distance.
Not likely to happen as it depends on more variables than just distance, and it would be more useful to spend the time on onboard compatibility. Until then, check out Maps Made Easy, DroneDeploy, or Pix4D capture apps.
