DJI Smart Controller and Dronelink

Hi has anyone used the DJI smart controller with Dronelink, i used it for the first time today and it was buggy as hell.  The picture on the DJI smart controller was all choppy and after i tried to start a mission it was trying to load it and finally said the device is running too slow?  Really the DJI smart controller is slow?  I have used the normal controller that came with my DJI M2P and the dronelink worked fine with it, has anyone got any ideas?

I am hoping someone can shed some light on this one??

So what your saying Jim after reading those threads is that we are best to use the standard controller that came with our dji drones with our Android phones to get excellent performance, i know using my phone with the remote that came with my M2P works very well with dronelink i used it a lot last summer and just use the smart controller with the DJI apps for flying the drones.

Well lets hope DJI comes out with some software fixes to use dronelink on the smart controller.

comes out with some software fixe

Upgrading the version of Android / installing Google Play services by default would only fix part of the issue. The hardware is what is limiting the performance.

Ok sounds like a good answer. So for us drone pilots who payed upwards of 1000 bucks for the smart controller your saying hardware would solve so a whole new controller i cant see dhi designing one for that purpose. I guess we will stick with using our android devices when wanting to fly with your dronelink. Which by the way is an excellent user freindly program for drone pilots.
