Mavic air 2 Air sense now supported ....

Ninja_Geezer

Ok jim may know this ,i see the air sense is functional in the latest version ,

i can see it working on this recent video ,1 hour 13 minute 40 second mark approx.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB2wJJ-3or4

my question is this , all mavic air 2 drones from later in the year last year are built with the ADSB chip inplace only the first versions outside the USA had them missing for a while.the only reason people outside the USA do not see the alerts is that the DJIfly we have to use has this feature removed from the app at this time,so i am correct in thinking whilst using the latest version of dronelink that i have just got will it work in the uk the same ??

It just presents whatever information the DJI SDK has, which is based on all the same hardware limitations as stated.

The software limitation is in the drone itself. therefore it would not work unless you had the US software installed on the drone itself.

Sorry netspl0it ,its not the drone software its only the DJI fly app 100% i know this as i run stock DJI firmware and a modded DJI app and i get airsense just fine.

I could be wrong, but modded apps bypass the software restrictions on the drone I believe, legal apps aren't allowed to do that.

EDIT: If I am right then from a legal standpoint you could get in trouble doing that.. I could be wrong.

I'm not sure if you already have the app but if not I highly recommend it even without airsense if it don't work for you, it's a great application for anyone's use 👍

DJI has no documentation indicating any differences that I am aware of.

We have no control or visibility into it - we just display whatever the DJI SDK reports.
