Questions regarding Mavic 2 Pro camera settings and mapping missions

Hi there

I am new to drone flying and have recently acquired a Mavic 2 Pro. I have a few questions regarding it's use for mapping missions with drone link, namely:

• Does the setting in the mission plan (FOV vs HQ) control what mode the drone uses during flight? Or must it be set elsewhere?
• Do these apply to photos as well?
• Which camera setting is preferable for mapping missions?
• What could be the cause of significantly more side overlap than set for a picture flight? My thoughts are either GPS acccuracy/wind or the drone flying a HQ flightpath with an FOV camera?
