A couple of questions with Dronelink 'Offline' Use

Kgaudineer

Over the weekend I was in a remote area trying to fly a mission.  Cell coverage in this location was also pretty weak so I couldn't 'Hot-Spot' my cell phone for an internet connection.  (I am using Dronelink on a DJI Smart Controller)   So I drove back to town and used the internet in a local coffee shop. I read a forum post before Dronelink V2.2.0(2142) was released that downloading a mission for use offline was possible all one needed to do was select the 3 ellipse dots in the corner and choose Offline Download.  Then when you wanted to fly the mission select the lightening bolt  and find the mission there.  When I returned to the site and selected the lightening bolt I didn't see my mission all I could find was the 17 'On The Fly' missions.  However, if I went back to the mission and selected the 'Action: Share' icon in the upper right corner the mission would load.  Is this the correct way to load an 'Offline Mission'?

I would also like to make some minor adjustments to that mission.  If I make changes and save under the current version do I need to redownload the mission again or will those changes automatically update the 'Offline downloaded' version?

The lightning bolt icon is where all the built-in functions are from Dronelink. Your mission plans will be in the other tabs.

Any time you make changes to the mission plan you have to re-download it.

Heading north to no cell phone or internet signal land in Michigan's UP. Have downloaded the three mission plans I intend to fly there scouting property. However, I see no specific tabs in the native app as described above with phone connected to controller (using Mavic Mini controller and Samsung Galaxy S9+). Testing locally with internet disconnected, they seem to load in precisely the same fashion as when I have internet service. Am I to be assured that the downloaded mission plans will function offline up north?

Just put your device in airplane mode and try it.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Perhaps, while still in civilization, I'll create a short test mission plan, download for offline functionality, disconnect from all internet capability, turn phone on Airplane Mode to test it. Thx again.
