Camera Photo Type Options
FWIW:
I noticed that within the Dronelink command "Camera Photo Type" the presence of both a High Resolution and a Smart parameter.
Further testing shows that the MA2 will successfully receive and execute commands with each parameter. The High Resolution instance modifies the shutter button to contain a "48MP". The Smart instance leaves the shutter button unchanged. Both will take a photo but need further testing to see if they actually do what they indicate!
The peculiar thing is when you select Menu, the Camera Mode immediately changes from Photo to Video. Also, there are no on-screen menu options depicted for either High Resolution or Smart as a capture option.

It would be nice if the High Resolution mode worked in the mission "Map"

David, did you get an answer to your question about the settings and the 48mp button?
The MA2 does not support 48mp photos when the camera is in interval photo mode (hardware limitation from DJI). Please click the previous link I posted.
Sinchenko83:
I confirmed that when mission planning with online Dronelink I can successfully use the Photo Types "High Resolution" and "Smart". I did this by testing a mission (with no props!) that only executed the camera commands for each type. It was further confirmed by exiting Dronelink immediately and starting up DJI Fly which showed the camera in each case were in the indicated modes 48MP and Smart, respectively.
Thank you gentlemen! I realized that 48MP doesn't work in map mode. I can program 48MP in path, destination and etc. I have the following question. In the native application itself, how can I enable 48MP mode? There is a single photo, HDR, interval, etc., but no 48MP
It is only possible via commands right now.
I know it. It will be in native app, in the future?
Eventually. Moving to feature requests. Until then, if you are just wanting to fly around manually and mess with the camera, use DJI Fly.
FWIW and maybe obvious!
As a follow-on to Jim's comment, you can set the camera at 48MP in DJI Fly, force quit, and crank up Dronelink and the camera will remain in that mode with the shutter icon indicating 48MP.
I concluded from what I have read on the internet that the 48MP mode on the MA2 is only DIGITAL zoom (no phisical change of lens) and therefor the same process as what you can do afterwards behind your desktop. As the result of doing it on the drone is a picture with the same resolution as doing it on the pc, there is no benefit to do it when shooting (with MP48 enabled) as you can do it in post editing of your 12 MB photo's and as you cannot make the zoom result on the drone undone). Can this please be confirmed?
This is not a question, just an observation. I did notice when I did a mission the other day with single high resolution photo, it actually has the 48MP on the shutter button.
Good day...
