It would be nice to have a ground speed indicator and a function that would prevent you from going to far down wind to get back.

    My only suggestion is an handheld Anemometer. I got a basic one for about $15. All you really need if curious about your wind speeds at location. I really doubt Dronelink or DJI app will ever have that feature. Just as doubtful as these drones having a Lidar system for AGL. Way too expensive and bit not practical due to weight and cost.

    In truth
    such a function would be possible if you know the wind (even more or less approximate) taken from a neighboring weather station and then, with some formulas, observe the power of the motors to move in the desired direction or remain in hovering.
    A similar thing is used in Airdata UAVs
