MA2 and Android - App Freeze and Lost Control of the drone

MA2 and Android.
Flied my first flight in with a simple orbit component. 1 minute into the plan and after reaching the approach point, I realized video settings were set to Manual, once I tried to change the setting during the flight plan, the native application froze and the remote control is no longer able to control the drone while in the air! Pretty scary. I hit the RTH button which luckily met a response from the drone and I could land the drone safely.
Lucky I am as I was flying in an open space with no obstacles around.
Can you please tell me why did this happen? How to set RTH altitude?

The Android beta has several performance issues that can lead to situations like this, but we are working hard to correct these issues. As far as taking control, make sure you read this.
Thanks Jim. I can't wait to see those issues addressed in order to have the full confidence we can fly our missions safely. Thanks for outstanding effort you and dronelink team are putting into the app. It is a game changer indeed.
