Version 2.1.0 (137)

Chris Laframboise

Got a chance to try out the latest version yesterday. Here are some of my observations.

Everything went ok but I noticed a few things. I was running an Orbit mission and the drone lost connection with the controller which is not unusual for a P3S and went into RTH as it is supposed to. When it got close to me I cancelled the RTH and flew manually taking some manual panos but the message in the status bar at the top that indicates that the signal was lost and the drone was out of control or something to that effect did not disappear as it had in the past. It stayed on the screen until I landed my drone some time later and swapped the battery, re-adjusted my settings and flew again.

Also, on another flight that day I got a battery error (red in status bar) indicating that a cell was broken shortly after takeoff and to contact DJI. I quickly landed, tried to see if I could check battery status in the new version of Dronelink but couldn't, then closed dronelink and switched to DJI GO to check battery status. GO indicated that there were no cell errors in any of the cells in the battery. Later that night I checked the battery health for that particular flight in AirData to see if there were any problems reported and nothing was reported or out of the ordinary. Any idea what may have caused this problem? It was cold and although I had the battery in my pocket to keep it warm, the initial temperature was 17ºC so would Dronelink register a battery error for a low temperature reading in a battery?

Anyway, the new version seems to be working well so far. Still have some more testing to do with my Spark and some more with my P3S and more of my saved missions.

If you get the error Location unavailable it means that the drone is not well connected even if you see the video coming from the camera.
Pay attention if you have in background of the app some window that asks to chose the app or how to use the connection of the Android phone.
To be sure that the dronelink app is well connected you should see on the main page on the right lower corner "Air 2" written in orange with the icon of an airplane.
If you see only the airplane, the mavic air is not well connected.

tested today with a circuit of various waypoints, markers, points of interests.
The circuit and video footage were perfect.
Only a small inconvenience when starting the application as I described above.
All the steps were performed as I had seen them on the web simulator.
