Stop Drone on Photo - Imported Missions

Marc Sandlhauser

Hello, our primary sector is construction, and we have about 30 sites we photograph and create orbitals and oblique images for progress for our clients. We use a combination of software currently, and want to consolidate to DroneLink.

I've seen a couple posts regarding stopping the drone before shooting photos. We take oblique photos of jobsites, so stopping the drone would obviously give us clearer images.

In prep for our (hopeful) transition to DL, I'm testing DL and comparing to our other software. I'm having a hard time configuring the waypoints of IMPORTED Litchi missions. I don't see an action to stop the drone, as in this support post:

https://support.dronelink.com/hc/en-us/articles/6472289691155

When I click Add Action on a waypoint, the only actions available are Photo, Start/Stop record, rotate aircraft and rotate gimbal. I'd like to convert those 30 jobsite missions, and this would be functionality we definitely want.

So my question is twofold:

(1) do you have to be on a particular pricing tier for this functionality (I'm on Growth currently for testing), or

(2) is this functionality not available for imported Litchi (.csv) missions?

Thanks!

    Welcome to Dronelink Marc!

If you click advanced you will see the option to Hover. Having said that, you might want to consider using some of the more advanced component types (Facade and/or Inspection) depending on your requirements. If you provide a few more details there are many dedicated members on the forums here that can make suggestions on how to best use the tools available.

Ah, I see 'Stay' there now! Missed it before. So I could add "Stay" as Action 1, then Take Photo as Action 2. Thank you Jim!

    Hi Marc Sandlhauser

This coming Friday I will be releasing another video in my Five Minute Friday series showing how to use inspection, which stops the drone for each photo.  It could be just what you are looking for.

It's not quite ready yet but if you shoot me an email at barry@aviosaerialmedia.com I'll send you a pre-release version to see if that helps.
