Dronelink app (Autel EVO II) exits when I try to load a mission.

KELLEY D KIMBALL

I need some help on getting Dronelink app to function. It appears to connect to the drone, but when I load a mission I created (about 15 minutes ago) simple orbit, with start & end altitude and start & end radius. As soon as I select to load this mission the dronelink app exits everytime.

I believe the resolution to the other thread was the EXP and Sensitivity settings.

Maybe so I can't say. But your release notes/spreadsheet stated that you implemented setting those parameters from the app, so it shouldn't have been an issue in my mind.

I did finally have a successful mission complete and actually fly and record footage of the mission. However it was with another drone. I have (2) EVO II drones a V1 & V2. The mission completes with the V1 drone but not the V2.

    any possible correlation?

It is possible, but we aren't focusing on this drone right now as all of our effort is on the Mavic 3E and M30 series right now.

Sorry for the disappointment but we really are doing the best we can with what Autel has given us...

Feel free to request a refund if it doesn't work for your drone. The reality is, we can only spend so much time on it given the lower demand compared to the newer DJI drones.

I'm having a similar problem with my EVO II Pro 6k V1.  It used to complete missions, now it won't do any new missions and only does the 1st orbit of 3 separate orbits in a mission.  I've made sure the EVO setting were per the book.  I even run the same mission with a Mini 2 to completeion.  Any real solutions would be gratefully appreciated

    Help!!!   Help!!!  Help!!!   Plz.....!

Can you be more specific about it used to work and now it doesn’t? Is there an error message or screen recording showing the behavior?

When I first purchased Dronelink, I set the EVO II & up as specified and ran the Mini 2 as well.  The Mini 2 was a champ, loved it!  Got all excited to know that the EVO II was gonna be able to do the same things.  Ran an EVO II mission on the edge of a no fly zone, had some overlap so the mission did not complete.  It would get 3/4 of the way through until it got to that specific area.  No problem, my other drones did the same thing.  Ran another mission at a different location.  The EVO II did the simple grid with no problem.

Set up an Orbit mission, the EVO II ran that with no problem.  Added two additional orbits to the original orbit mission.  The EVO II will only do the original orbit mission.  Ran the same mission with the Mini 2, no problem.  Ran the EVO II on the Orbit mission again, it takes on average, 17 seconds after it arrives to the start location before the EVO II will start to orbit.  It completes the first orbit, goes to the second altitude, starts recording and will just sit in that one spot forever!  I created a Waypoint mission with three waypoints.  The EVO II takes off, goes to the first waypoint, starts recording and just sits there forever.  Ran the same mission with the Mini 2, no problem!  Tried several times with the EVO II, no love after the first waypoint.

Created other missions for the EVO II, no go.  Sat at the computer in the DL app, looked over the missions to see if I did something wrong, but I can't figure it out.  Searched on here several times for solutions, ended back at square one.  Checked the EVO II again.... 100% 100% 75%, 0.50 on all Expo's.  Still will not complete a full mission.  Never once has there been any error messages, just plus time on the clock as the drone just sits in one spot.  I've seen you request missions before, how ca I do that so you can run it on your EVO II test mule?

We have also noticed inconsistent behavior like this from time to time, and the reality is that Autel is not comitted to making the improvements to their SDK and firmware to address the underlying issues. We have tried to work-around the issue in software, but we can only do so much and we aren’t focused on trying to make it better right now due to the low volume of users that are on this platform.

I appreciate the follow up. Are there any suggestions or best practices for this situation? I’d appreciate some golden nuggets of possible solutions or work arounds. In the mean time, I’ll keep fiddling with it. 🫡 ✌🏾
