M3E Beta Observation re: video not recording

Tony Simek

@Dronelink team -

Please see https://app.dronelink.com/southwestern-aerial-studios/tsimek-public/plan/Zc1RDyM4WYMIWRAEYKor

In between steps 3 & 4, I do a battery change, and then load and resume the mission.  As the drone navigates to start step 4 (trucking shot facing south) the M3E begins the movement but the video recording is not started for this step.  Later steps are recorded correctly.

Not a big deal, and I break mission apart or put in a path action, but I think this is a minor bug that should not require that.  Just wanted to let you know my observation.

Tony

    It doesn't look like there is supposed to be any capture during that approach:

    If the issue is what Jim mentioned then just add an auto capture to the start of Trucking Shot facing south so it records on the approach.

    If you want to use auto capture and have it include the approaches, then you need to put the components in a list and add auto capture to the list.

    Gents, its not the approach that did not record. The actual trucking segment did not start recording. : ) Thats why I am saying its a bug.

    To be clear - it was Capture 4 that did not start on the mission.

    Does it happen every time or just once?

    Everytime.  I think it has to do with the battery change.  I exit DL, run Pilot 2 to set the frequencies (per my other thread) then relaunch Dronelink, load and resume the mission.  This element runs, but the recording does not start.

    @Jim, just to update - had this happen again today.  After pausing the mission, changing the battery, then resuming, the mission moves the drone to start the orbit where video is specified.  The drone does the orbit but does not start recording video.

    Will try to reproduce it.

    I am able to reproduce it easily.  Happened again today, completely different mission.  The steps to reproduce are simple.

    Two back to back elements where video is specified.  In between the two, pause mission, change battery.  When resuming the drone will fly to the start of the next component, but not start the video recording (even though specified.)

    We just tested it and could not reproduce...

    That is so odd!  Well, I will keep at it and try to figure out what is going wrong for me.
