First POI not followed

stéphane GARNIER

Hello,

Can someone tell me why the drone does not keep POI_A  while flying from WP_A  to  WP_B  ?

(From WP_B everything is OK).

Seems like I am forgetting something as I plan for several months.

Thx

To my understanding the drone will slowly point from A to B during the flight for smoother result. If my thoughts are true, try to make another WP close to WP_B and point that one towrds POI_A.

Most probably this will do the trick, but i'm afraid the transition from POI A towrds POI B will be more abrupt.

This being said: im a beginner with dronelink; so ignore my respons if any pro will say something different :)

You would need to turn off interpolation at Waypoint B, but by doing so you will also no longer interpolate the altitude, which I am guess you still want. This is the purpose of using Path actions instead so you can enable interpolation just for the POI.

Thanks Jim McAndrew and Barry Houldsworth.

Need is only to explain some french guys how to take photos with time interval (between Wpts A & B)  or aperiodicaly (between B & C). In that context, turning off interpolation at Wpt B is OK.

This is one reason I use path actions (markers) instead of at the waypoints. You get more control to make it perform exactly as you want at the right spot anywhere along the path. DL Adding the functions at the waypoints is a great feature but I still like using markers instead.

So many ways to set up a plan as always, All I did is add marker 1 and tied to POI A and placed it just before waypoint B. This way it will stay on POI A until that point then transition to B which I changed the interpolation to curved so it will start transitioning and be on POI B when it arrives. Just one way. Enjoy…
