M3E Beta Feedback

Tony Simek

Jim McAndrew - if you get a chance, please take a peak at this video.  I do not think DL is using the Android default audio for when a picture is snapped.  Anyways, during today's flight I could hear some kind of audio inconsistently while running mapping.  If I go to the Pilot 2 app, you can hear the system sound.

On other android devices, the Classic UI seems to use the android default, and modern seems to use something else.  It is a much longer file, and I'm wondering is this is part of why people had issues with slower devices.  In any event, just appears something is buggy with the beta regarding the camera sound not playing on the M3E's controller. (at least mine).  If yours or others are working ok, I will reset mine.

Jim McAndrew - with regards to me not hearing the mission completed phrase, I believe it is because even after installing Google TTS, it does not set the engine or language in system settings.

I wiped the controller and verified that this has to be manually set it appears.

The classic dashboard uses DJI's UXSDK, which probably plays its own audio file (not the system sound), which is probably what DJI pilot does as well. We may have to switch to doing that as well if the system sound is unreliable.

Makes sense.  Yes, the system sound is longer than the interval than what the M3E shoots at, so probably why Pilot has a very abbreviated quick shutter sound.
