Need Update for Air 2S Firmware

JS

I installed the new firmware update for my air 2S only to find dronelink will not allow it to launch now. Can we get an update very soon that is compatible with the new firmware? Thank you.

    Apparantly DJI released a new SDK that supports this firmware. Will look into it tomorrow.

    The firmware is the problem, you'll need to contact DJI, similar resorts on forums of other 3rd party software

    Yes, this is the age old problem. Manufacturer says third-party is the problem. Third party says manufacture is the problem.

    Looks like DJI is either going to have to release an updated SDK or updated firmware to fix the issue on their end. FWIW, I am also not seeing a way to downgrade to the previous version in DJI assistant - fun stuff.

    Here is some more detail to help troubleshoot this;

    - The Air 2S still appears to work fine in DJI Fly app

    - In Dronelink, when attempting to launch using the launch button an error appears saying ""There was an error executing the command. (code -1008)"

    -In Dronelink, when attempting to launch manually by holding control sticks down and in, a different message appears saying "dji_check_fc_takeoff_failed_unknown_error"

    I am on chat with DJI now but they are so far not providing anything helpful yet.

    Hey one other test I just did that might help identify root cause; even when not using Dronelink and using the controller only I am no longer able to launch the drone from just using the sticks. It only works when connected to DJI Fly. So that supports Jim's statement that it's a firmware issue if the drone won't even launch manually.

    @JS yeah I told Jim that to.is a firmware update issue.

    It’s pilots choice but Dronehacks can downgraded to an old version. They keep most of the older ones. I haven’t checked in a long time but it’s not hard to do of still available. All you do is download the firmware version you want and save it to your PC drive. Then upload it to the drone. Maybe they still have that capability. I’ll repeat again, it’s pilots choice. Good luck.

    Found this on their website.

    DJI appears to have a fix for iOS and the RC Pro (Android) but the RC-N1 is still not working.

    I am experiencing this same issue (DJI Air 2s). Everything was working perfectly then the firmware update popped up within the DJI Fly app. I permitted the firmware update and all of a sudden it would not take off. As of 10/31/22, the DJI Fly app works fine and I was able to take off manually using stick inputs. Only Dronelink is not working with quoted (above) errors. Definitely a firmware issue. In the future, I will wait for a couple of weeks and check out forums before updating to the latest firmware. Thank you Dronelink for getting hot on resolving the issue. If I can aid you in any way by submitting flight data or anything please let me know.

    The same exact build worked this morning for a bit, and now isn't working again - so I suspect it may be a network / server-side issue with DJI. I am going to upload it anyway to see if it works for you guys.
