There was an error executing the command. (code:-1008)

Philippe Levy

Another "unable to take off" issue.

"Ready To Go" is displayed but when attempting to take off this error above is displayed.

DJI Air 2s
Firmware updated

DJI Fly works normally

There doesn't seem to be much information on this topic. Will the app simply not work for us?

Cheers,

Sometimes Ready To Go will disappear and we'll get the following error in red:

    dji_check_fc_takeoff_failed_unknown_error

Restarting the drone will make this error disappear but the 1008 error persists.

Can you possibly share the mission that you're getting this message with

As Martin stated sharing your plan may help. It could be you have Take-off Restriction set to “specific area.” If you do you will need to be within that Orange take-of circle area or make the area larger.

The “dji_check_fc_takeoff_failed_unknown_error” has been an issue and not sure why but they are usually false errors. Start the DJI Fly app first and if there are no errors then you should not have any issues. You can click to Hide Permanently those false errors in Modern Dashboard.

I've just been reading of similar problems with the latest A2S firmware update over on the litchi forum, folk having to take off using DJI fly app and then switching to litchi to run their missions🙄🙄🙄

Can you take off manually with the sticks?

No. Moving sticks diagonally down to spin up props also generates the takeoff error.
